Souter Trading International
S.T.I wins major contract in China
Souter Trading International has been awarded an outline agreement
to purchase spares for 2 years for several power stations in Hong Kong.
Their customer, CLP Power, formerly known as China Light and Power,
have been doing business with Souter Trading for the past 7 years, with
the connection between the two companies going back 10 years. This agreement
is as a result of CLP Power’s desire to rationalise their spares
ordering system by having Souter order spares in the UK from approximately
100 different suppliers, and is expected to approach £750,000
over the 2 years. This augments Souter’s agreement to purchase
spares for two nuclear power stations in Guangdong province inside China,
which was achieved through their accreditation to ISO9001:2000 by Lloyds
Register of Shipping in the past 12 months.
